Without the correct light, I have to use slow shutter speeds which equals blur many times with wildlife. One has to stop motion with wildlife and slow shutter speeds create a challenge. The critters won't sit still. If I had an extra $5000 I'd buy a fast pro lens. But, I'm stuck with this Sigma commercial lens and it's slow (requires a lot of light.) I do the best I can. Even the beaver this morning was a challenge to photograph due to the very early morning and poor light. Add a rocking boat and you get the idea. Thank you for following my blog. I appreciate it.GARYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01217590514589042011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7734790758918740494.post-88607501400853328032013-10-12T22:25:52.109-04:002013-10-12T22:25:52.109-04:00I think your photos are gorgeous! (LOL) I've shot some beautiful stuff of the Decorah, Iowa eagle pair as I live close to them. Love the dogs too!!!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08137780039942201808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7734790758918740494.post-53265052905055400112013-10-12T22:11:04.936-04:002013-10-12T22:11:04.936-04:00Gary, I actually like overcast skies for shooting ...Gary, I actually like overcast skies for shooting photos! Bright light seems to wash everything out. I'm still learning about my little Nikon but have taken some beautiful shots of the Decorah Eagles. Low light and wing motion is the cause. It's been darned overcast around here for the entire month. Bad for photography.GARYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01217590514589042011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7734790758918740494.post-42214629130024521132013-07-27T04:29:05.844-04:002013-07-27T04:29:05.844-04:00Fabby photos.Fabby photos.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12576612050864003090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7734790758918740494.post-30487458197175259292013-07-26T23:41:08.657-04:002013-07-26T23:41:08.657-04:00Well that was an interesting tour de pic.I don'...Well that was an interesting tour de pic.I don't think I have ever seen a Night Heron have to keep my eye out. In the pic of the young Eagle taking off what is the big purple/blue thing? Is it the light on its wing? Weird. Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04357214660531650920noreply@blogger.com
