Beaver are prolific on Melton Hill Resevoir. They fell huge trees and strip the branches for food and dam building. I once saw a beaver swimming fifty feet from shore with a garden shovel in its mouth. It swam to a dead fall in the water and instantly disappeared beneath the water. Gotta love em.
