This blog is a visual record of my outings into the streams, lakes and forests of Tennessee and North Carolina by canoe, motor boat and motorcycle. I love photography and use that venue to record wildlife and wilderness scenes for my personal enjoyment. I enjoy writing short stories also and do so while out in the forests or on the lakes. I also am addicted to dogs as will be apparent as you read my blog. But, the canoe is my favorite means of escape and wilderness camping is a joy.

EXPEDITIONS
After the storm
Home sweet home on a winters night
It doesn't get any better than this. Yep!!!! All the comforts
Stream in the back country....
Rough going..........
Back packing has always been an interest of mine. A best friend, Terry, and I usually travelled to North Central Pennsylvania to hike some of the primitive trails that meander through those mountains and valleys. The trails are long and unpredictable, especially during Winter. These shots were taken on the "Old Loggers Trail" a few years back during December. A particularly bad storm arose and we pitched our tents among some very old hemlock trees. It was a memorable night and a long exciting week in the back country.
