Summer is trying to hang on but is relenting to the chill of Fall. Its interesting to see the subtle changes in nature as she moves into the colder, colorful months before winter. The slow transition is a time to observe the struggle of plants and vibrant greens that give way to the dry, yet beautiful colors of Fall. Eventually the all gives way to the cold, frigid Winter that erases much of the previous greens of Summer. But, Winter is reason to look forward to new life - fresh colors of Spring once again.
This blog is a visual record of my outings into the streams, lakes and forests of Tennessee and North Carolina by canoe, motor boat and motorcycle. I love photography and use that venue to record wildlife and wilderness scenes for my personal enjoyment. I enjoy writing short stories also and do so while out in the forests or on the lakes. I also am addicted to dogs as will be apparent as you read my blog. But, the canoe is my favorite means of escape and wilderness camping is a joy.
