TODAY'S HOLSTON RIVER EAGLES (East Tennessee)

I happen to know this particular pair of eagles who reside on the mountainside facing the Holston. This is the male of the pair and he was standing on a snag in the middle of the lake where a shallow mud hill catches floating limbs and debris.  From here he has a good vantage point in all directions.  I cut the engine off and let the current take me down and past him.  He gave me a curious look twice but then ignored me.
