Here comes trouble:
He's loading up on sun flower seeds. His little cheeks were all puffed up when he left the bird feeder.
Hes broken two feeders already but, he's a welcome guest. He has to eat too. Mighty sweet to see him here.
This blog is a visual record of my outings into the streams, lakes and forests of Tennessee and North Carolina by canoe, motor boat and motorcycle. I love photography and use that venue to record wildlife and wilderness scenes for my personal enjoyment. I enjoy writing short stories also and do so while out in the forests or on the lakes. I also am addicted to dogs as will be apparent as you read my blog. But, the canoe is my favorite means of escape and wilderness camping is a joy.
I'm so glad you don't mind feeding him... I love to watch squirrels too, and they have to eat!
ReplyDeleteCute! I gave up trying to keep them out... bought an open feeder at Lowe's, it's like a tray 12X10 and the birds and squirrels share. Really I think I've used less seed this way than the tube feeders. I mix wild bird seed, sunflower and deer corn + leftover cereals, crackers, party mix (yes, I do!) even cookies and graham crackers! A smear of peanut butter is appreciated too!
