This blog is a visual record of my outings into the streams, lakes and forests of Tennessee and North Carolina by canoe, motor boat and motorcycle. I love photography and use that venue to record wildlife and wilderness scenes for my personal enjoyment. I enjoy writing short stories also and do so while out in the forests or on the lakes. I also am addicted to dogs as will be apparent as you read my blog. But, the canoe is my favorite means of escape and wilderness camping is a joy.

PUPPIES, PUPPIES, PUPPIES
CLICK PICS TO ENLARGE
Below are photos I took of the pups who are residing at my humble hovel, until they can be placed with permanent, loving families. This isn't all of them, but I need some better shots of a couple pups for the Pet Finder web site. The three larger pups, black and two blond, have just recently been acquired. The others have been here for over a week. The new pups are about eight weeks old now and the smaller pups are six or seven weeks old. The small pups are Fiest/Terrier mix. The larger pups are English Setter/Golden Retriever mix. Yes, I know. Where did the black one come from? Good question. These little guys will all grow up to be magnificent dogs. The three older pups are people oriented even now. They will walk right up to a human and sit right on your shoe and stare into your face every time. And they won't move away. That is a very strong sign of social growth and an indication that these dogs will be fine, amiable companions. By the way; if anyone wishes to see these little babies; leave a message on the message block at the end of the blog, or email me; or both. We are extremely careful and thorough with puppy placement, and there is a reasonable fee involved to cover our costs for spay/neuter, vaccinations and shots. It is a very small price to pay for a lifetime companion.
Many photos are similar, but then, I'm going to use them for the adoption site. Don't forget to click on the picture and it will enlarge full screen. Enjoy total puppy visual innocence. Next to children; its about all there is left these days.
